Pack 'D's first order of business: stop the run

Fresno State is one of the worst rushing teams in the nation.

The Bulldogs’ 104.6 rushing yards per game rank seventh worst in the nation. Their 3.04 yards per carry is sixth worst in the NCAA. And the team gained just 64 yards on 32 carries – exactly two yards per attempt – in its last outing, a 45-20 drubbing at UNLV, which was coming off a loss to lowly Idaho.

But when Nevada hosts Fresno State at 4 p.m. Saturday, Wolf Pack defensive coordinator Scott Boone expects the Bulldogs to line up and try and run the ball down his team’s throat.
