Pack baseball rolls to eighth straight victory

Nevada won its eighth straight game to set its longest win streak of the season, defeating San Jose State, 11-2, on Saturday.

The Wolf Pack improved to 26-20 overall and 15-8 in Mountain West play in front of 1,532 fans at Peccole Park.

Senior RHP Sam Held pitched his first career complete game, allowing just two runs and seven hits with three strikeouts in nine innings. Junior Trenton Brooks went 4-of-5 with two runs and an RBI to set a season-high in hits, while sophomore Jordan Pearce added four RBI.

Nevada clinches a series victory over the Spartans, marking the Pack’s seventh series win of the year.
