ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Nevada’s offense erupted for 17 runs in a shootout victory at New Mexico on Saturday night at Santa Ana Star Field.
The Wolf Pack (29-21, 17-9) scored nine runs in the final two innings to race past the Lobos in a 17-11 victory.
After dropping a one-run game Friday night to end an 11-game win streak, the Wolf Pack’s offense bounced back with a vengeance on Saturday to even the series. Nevada matched its season-high in runs, with 13 singles, one double and three home runs.
Sophomore TJ Friedl went 3-of-5 with three runs and one RBI, and junior Justin Bridgman went 2-of-4 with three RBIs and two runs.
