The Wolf Pack completed an $11.5 million renovation of Mackay Stadium last summer but that doesn’t mean the university is done upgrading the 51-year-old home of its football team.
More changes are in store for this summer – as long as a planned improvement comes in under budget.
Nevada is aiming to complete a $1.2 million upgrade to the north part of the stadium, a grand entrance that has been in the works since 2014, before the team’s 2017 home opener Sept. 9 against Toledo.
The project was initially a micro-donation campaign named “Champions Plaza” that stagnated after a fast start.
