Lucas Weber's knee injury was worse than originally expected.
Upon further examination, the Wolf Pack linebacker has a torn ACL and will miss the season.
The sophomore from McQueen High injured his knee in the season opener against Cal Poly. He finished that game and was initially diagnosed with a kneecap injury rather than a knee ligament injury.
“We thought it was a partial dislocation of the kneecap,” Wolf Pack coach Brian Polian said. “Upon examination from three different doctors, they thought the knee was sound. He’s so muscular that all of the muscles around his knee were still strong.
