FRESNO, Calif. – News and notes from the Wolf Pack’s 77-76 loss to Fresno State on Saturday.
* The Wolf Pack entered the game with 190 more free throws attempts than its opponents this season and Fresno State entered the game by sending its foes to the free throw line a Mountain West-high 23.9 times per game. So, this matchup looked ripe for Nevada having a major edge from the stripe. Think again.
The Wolf Pack was just 11-of-13 from the foul line; Fresno State was 13-of-27. Despite the Bulldogs’ poor foul shooting, it was the first time this season Nevada was out-scored from the charity stripe.
