* McLane Mannix was a punt returner all four years during his high school career but prior to Saturday’s game against UNLV had not return a college punt. That changed when coach Jay Norvell put the true freshman back on returns ahead of its biggest game of the season. Mannix delivered with a 34-yard punt return – the team’s longest of the season – as well as a 17-yard return (both in the second half).
