News and notes from the Wolf Pack’s 38-37 win over Utah State on Saturday.
* Nevada junior RB James Butler passed the 3,000-yard rushing mark in his career, becoming the ninth player to do so in program history. Later in the game, he passed Luke Lippincott for eighth on Nevada’s career rushing list. Butler has 3,117 yards and trails Cody Fajardo by 365 yards for seventh place on the list.
Butler carried the ball 26 times for 119 yards and a touchdown. He went over 100 yards for the first time in five games.
