It was only two words but it spoke volumes on how Fresno State’s Rodney Terry feels about Nevada.
“No credit.”
That’s what Terry told the Fresno Bee on Saturday about what the Wolf Pack had earned after beating his shorthanded squad in an epic overtime game. The fifth-year head coach expanded on that thought.
“They had the size on us today because we don’t have our guys, but that’s OK,” said Terry, whose team was a mash unit entering the game. “We’ll bounce back. We competed hard. We left it on the floor.”
All of that stuff was true, but have you ever heard a coach said the winning team deserves “no credit?
