The season will continue for the Nevada women’s basketball team.
The Wolf Pack was one of eight teams invited to the Women’s Basketball Invitational on Sunday night, giving Nevada a three-game extension to its season.
The 2022 WBI is scheduled for March 18-20, in Lexington, Ky.
Nevada (19-11) will open against Davidson on Friday. The Pack will play either Cleveland State or Northeastern in its second game on Saturday.
Each team is guaranteed three games at the event, which features consolation rounds.
For Nevada, the WBI invite represents its fifth postseason appearance (three WNIT, two WBI).
