Nevada trailed by by 20 at halftime, then outscored UNLV in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit as the Wolf Pack lost, 67-58, Wednesday night in women's college basketball in Las Vegas.
UNLV (11-16, 9-7 MW) led by as many as 25 at one point as it improved to 11-16 overall, 9-7 in the Mountain West. The Wolf Pack dropped to 10-16, 6-9 MW.
Nevada had three score in double figures, led by senior Terae Briggs’ team-high 14 points. Essence Booker, a Las Vegas native, finished with a career-high 13 points, and hit 7-of-8 from the free throw line.
