Nevada track and field sends largest delegation to NCAA West Preliminaries since 2011

The Nevada track and field team didn’t have its strongest season, finishing 10th in the Mountain West’s indoor championship and eighth in the outdoor championship, but it did have strong high-end talent.

That is evident in the fact the Wolf Pack has sent nine athletes to the NCAA West Preliminary Round, which runs Thursday-Saturday at Sacramento State’s Hornet Stadium. That field is the largest for Nevada at a preliminary round since 2011, with each athlete aiming to move on to Eugene, Ore.
