Nevada softball posts 12-4 victory at Utah State

LOGAN, Utah – The Nevada softball team ended its five-game losing streak in convincing fashion on Thursday, beating Utah State in five innings, 12-4, in the opening game of a three-game series.

Freshman Brooke Bolinger (15-6) picked up the win for the Pack (31-14, 9-9 MW) after tossing a complete game with five strikeouts.

Sophomore Aaliyah Gibson and seniors Megan Sweet and Amanda Weis each posted three hits while Sweet recorded three RBIs. After scoring twice, Sweet broke the program’s runs scored record and now has 155 for her career.

The Wolf Pack started the game with four-consecutive hits.
