Nevada football: Wolf Pack's Henley, Cooks among players entering transfer portal

Two players who have spent all or part of the last five football seasons with Nevada announced Wednesday that they would enter the transfer portal.

Nevada linebacker Daiyan Henley, who enjoyed a breakout season in 2021, and twice-injured receiver Elijah Cooks said in social media posts that they intended to play elsewhere next season. Both will be immediately eligible under the NCAA’s one-time transfer rule.

Henley finished the 2021 regular season with a second-team All-Mountain West selection after recording a team-high 94 tackles and pulling down four interceptions). He scored two defensive touchdowns.

Henley, out of Crenshaw in Los Angeles, finished his Wolf Pack career with 150 tackles (93 solo).
