Nevada football: Wolf Pack assistant coach Matt Mumme up for Broyles Award

Since 2017, he has directed one of the nation’s most effective offenses. Now, Nevada offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Matt Mumme is a candidate for the annual Broyles Award, which recognizes the nation’s top NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) assistant coach.

Entering Friday’s home game against Air Force, Mumme has led a Wolf Pack passing attack ranked fourth in the country. Nevada’s “Air Raid” offense features quarterback Carson Strong, who ranks fourth in the nation in passing yards per game (354.7), ninth in touchdowns (28), and ninth in completion percentage (70.5).
