SAN JOSE, Calif. – One thing stood between Nevada and its collision course with Colorado State for the Mountain West championship, and the Wolf Pack flattened that one thing – San Jose State – on Wednesday.
Nevada opened its game against SJSU with a flurry, going on an early 18-1 run while hassling the Spartans into 10 straight missed shots, to grab a 20-5 lead 10 minutes into the action and rode a huge first half to an 82-67 victory before an announced senior night crowd of 2,522 fans at The Events Center.
The win pushed the Wolf Pack back into a tie for first place in the MW with Colorado State with one game left in the regular season.
