Nevada basketball seeks revenge as it heads south to take on rival UNLV

As the Nevada and UNLV players shuffled through the post-game handshake line after the Rebels’ upset victory over the Wolf Pack three weeks ago, Lindsey Drew and Brandon McCoy – who received double technicals earlier in the game – began to bark at each other.

UNLV was trash-talking the entire game, the Wolf Pack players said, but the Rebels did more than that. They also backed up their words by out-playing their long-time rivals, stealing an 86-78 victory in front of 11,285 fans – the eighth-largest crowd in Lawlor Events Center history – to hand Nevada its only home loss this season.
