Nevada basketball hikes season-ticket prices by as much as $1,000

A couple of hours after McDonald’s All-American Jordan Brown committed to play for the Nevada basketball team last Friday, the Wolf Pack sent out email renewals to season-ticket holders.

It wasn’t pre-planned that way, but it was a good reminder of what it takes to sustain and grow a high-level program. For the fourth straight season, the Wolf Pack increased season-ticket prices, with some seats increasing next year by as much as $1,000. In all, nine of the 10 sections at Lawlor Events Center saw increases.

“Following back-to-back Mountain West Conference regular season championships, and consecutive NCAA tournament appearances including a Sweet Sixteen run, I felt it was necessary to increase season ticket prices in some areas of Lawlor Events Center to align with the championship caliber program,” Wolf Pack athletic director Doug Knuth wrote in the renewal brochure booklet.
