The Wolf Pack basketball team has received its first pledge in the 2018 recruiting class, securing its first commitment from a high school player in nearly two years.

After taking a recruiting visit to Nevada last weekend, the 6-foot-10, 215-pound power forward K.J. Hymes committed Wednesday to play for the Wolf Pack.

Hymes is listed by ESPN, Scout and Rivals as a three-star recruit, with 247Sports.com ranking him the No. 203 prospect in the 2018 class and 46th-best power forward. Hymes is from Phoenix and played last season for Phoenix St.
