DES MOINES — The theme surrounding Nevada entering the NCAA Tournament was one of validation: Eric Musselman’s team wanted to prove that, yes, it deserved to be in the top 10 for most of the season and, yes, it could hold its own against — and beat — a top-tier, high-major squad.
