Muss on Pack: 'We have different weapons' this year

For everything it accomplished last season, the Wolf Pack was not a good offensive team.

It made just 42.4 percent of its shots from the field, which tied with San Jose State, which won only nine games, for the second-worst mark in the Mountain West.

It hit only 30.7 percent of its 3-pointers, which ranked worst in the MW and 33rd worst out of 346 Division I teams.

And advanced metrics like Ken Pomeroy’s offensive rating, where it ranked 210th in the nation, showed Nevada wasn’t very good on offense.

But as Nevada enters this season, coming off a 24-win campaign and CBI championship thanks largely to its defense, it does so with more offensive weapons in its arsenal.
