Murray's Sunday List: Pack's top 10 defensive players ever

Every Sunday, Reno Gazette-Journal sports columnist Chris Murray will count down a top-10 list. This week's list counts down the 10 best defensive players in Wolf Pack football history. The list takes into account the player's college and professional careers in equal measure.

  • There's little argument on this one. Mann was a 1982 AP All-American at Nevada who had 191 tackles and 16 sacks in his career, with 14 coming during his senior season when he was voted the Big Sky's top defensive lineman. The 6-foot-6 defensive end then embarked on a 12-year NFL career where he won three Super Bowls (a Wolf Pack record) and was selected to four Pro Bowls (also a Wolf Pack record).
