Comment: SDSU's defense was as stout as ever in its season opener as it held its FCS foe to just 141 yards, eight first downs and a 0-of-14 effort on third downs. This week's game against Cal will be much more of a test. It's the most difficult hurdle on SDSU's regular-season schedule. Since 2000, the Aztecs are 1-17 against the Pac-12 - the lone win was against Wazzu in 2011 - so there's something to prove.
