Comment: Following its win over Northern Illinois, San Diego State moved into the Top 25 for the first time since 1995. The Aztecs are 22nd in the AP Top 25 and RB Donnel Pumphrey, a Las Vegas kid, is now showing up on some Heisman Trophy watch lists. Pumphrey won't win the Heisman - if Christian McCaffrey didn't do so last year, a MW running back has no shot - but he's on pace for 2,600 per-bowl rushing yards (assuming a MW title game) and that would at least get him to New York City.
