Here are the Wolf Pack football team’s records since its historic 2010 season: 7-6, 7-6, 4-8, 7-6, 7-6.
Do you notice a theme?
The Wolf Pack likes 7-6 seasons. Outside of Brian Polian’s first year at Nevada, a season of transition in which the team went 4-8, the Wolf Pack has logged 7-6 seasons like a 9-to-5 worker punches a time card.
Now, that's respectable. Surely if you offered the Silver State’s other football program, UNLV, a string of 7-6 seasons they’d ask where to sign. But Nevada isn’t UNLV, at least not in football. The standard is set higher than that.
