This year marked Nevada’s fifth season in the Mountain West, and by most measures it was the school’s most successful campaign in the conference.
The biggest headline was the basketball team’s return to the national stage after it swept the MW regular-season and tournament titles and earned a spot in the Big Dance for the first time since 2007.
But the success was more widespread than one program. In 2015-16, only four of Nevada’s 16 programs finished in the top half of the league standings. This season, that number rose to nine.
