Year four of Nevada’s Mountain West tenure brought championship No. 2. That’s the good news.
The bad news is of the Wolf Pack’s 16 programs, 12 finished in the bottom half of the overall league standings. The only programs to avoid that fate were swimming and diving, which won the MW; baseball, which placed second, a game shy of a MW title; men’s basketball, whose 15-win improvement placed its fourth in the MW; and softball, which doubled its win total and also placed fourth in league.
There were plenty of positives for Nevada in 2015-16, the swimming and diving title headlining the successes.
