There are only 30 minutes until tipoff and Nina DeVore is nervous.
DeVore has been through myriad tenuous moments in her life. After all, the soon-to-be 100-year-old Wolf Pack season-ticket holder was one of the first women accepted into training as a Naval officer in World War II and helped America’s push against the Nazis.
She also lived through the Great Depression in the hard-hit Midwest, started a business that lasted nearly four decades, raised three successful children and moved to a city more than 2,000 miles from her hometown to start her life when she was only 23 years old.
