The last time Nevada faced Utah State the Aggies didn’t see the real Marcus Marshall.
The Wolf Pack star guard scored only two points in that game earlier this month – a 74-57 Utah State rout – and made just one of his 12 shots, missing all seven of his 3-pointers. Marshall subsequently hit his first scoring slump of the season following that game. But the team that started the slump also ended it.
Reverting to the form he showed in the first 21 games this season, Marshall scored 22 points – his most since Jan. 21 against Fresno State – on 11 shots as Nevada beat Utah State, 77-66, before an announced crowd of 10,336 fans Saturday at Lawlor Events Center.
