The newly renovated Mackay Stadium will celebrate its 50th anniversary this season. We will count down the 50 most memorable games in the stadium's history with one game per day until the Wolf Pack's 2016 season opener Sept. 2 against Cal Poly. Here is today's entry.
Key stat: 4 - Wolf Pack RB Ray Whalen carried the ball 34 times for 122 yards, just 3.6 yards per carry, but he found the end zone four times, including the game-winning score in the third overtime period.
In short: Nevada dominated the first half but didn't have much to show for it after failing to score touchdowns on three drives inside the 5-yard line.
