Mackay Stadium's 50 most memorable games (1-20)
The newly renovated Mackay Stadium will celebrate its 50th anniversary this season. We will count down the 50 most memorable games in the stadium's history with one game per day until the Wolf Pack's 2016 season opener Sept. 2 against Cal Poly. Here is today's entry.
Key stat: 30,000 - Weeks two and three of the 1997 season mark the only time Mackay Stadium has had crowds of 30,000 in back-to-back games. A tilt with UNLV drew 30,118 and was followed a week later by the 30,420 - the second-largest crowd in Mackay's history at the time - who turned out for Oregon.
