Locals in the NFL: Kap has monster game; Matthews scores again

Each week, we will track how the locals in the NFL performed. Here’s a look at week 12 of the season.

* QB Colin Kaepernick, 49ers: In a 31-24 loss to the 49ers, Kaepernick had his best game of his season. He completed 29-of-46 passes for 296 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. He also rushed for 113 yards on 10 carries, but on second-and-goal from the Miami 6 he was stopped two yards shy of the goal line as time expired. San Francisco lost its franchise-record 10th straight game.

* WR Rishard Matthews, Titans: In a 27-21 win over the Bears, Matthews caught three passes (on seven targets) for 64 yards and a touchdown, a 29-yard catch late in the first half.
