Each week, we will track how the locals in the NFL performed. Here’s a look at week nine of the season.
* WR Rishard Matthews, Titans: Matthews’ hot streak continued as he caught two touchdowns, his second multi-score game in five seasons in the NFL, in a 43-35 loss to San Diego. Matthews caught six of his 10 targets for 63 yards, including scores of 16 and 7 yards (both in the first half). Matthews has five touchdowns in the Titan’s last five games. He’s already set a career high in single-season touchdowns.
* QB Colin Kaepernick, 49ers: In a 41-23 loss to the Saints, Kaepernick threw for 398 yards, the second most of his career, while completing 24-of-39 passes with two touchdowns and one interception.
