The Nevada defensive line could count on one thing – or, more accurately, one man – every day last season.

Whether it was in the team room, film study, practice drills or on game day, Malik Reed would bring it. Armed with a strong work ethic and endless energy, Reed, a two-time All-MW honoree, was the leader everybody followed.

But, this season, Reed is no longer in that team room or running with the defensive linemen in practice.
