NASHVILLE -- The Nevada football team lost at Vanderbilt, 41-10, Saturday in its first road game of the season.
Nevada dropped to 1-1 on the season, while Vanderbilt improved to 2-0. The Wolf Pack returns home next week to play Oregon State.
Here's the keys to Saturday's game:
Key stat: 6.4 -- The Commodores averaged 6.4 yards on their 73 offensive plays. Too many times, the Nevada defense would follow a good play with Vanderbilt gaining chunks of yardage on the next. Vanderbilt quarterback Kyle Shurmur was in control all game, finishing with 258 yards on 23-of-32 passing; he completed passes to nine different receivers.
