Jay Norvell's first Pack class heavy on WRs, DBs, OL

Wolf Pack football coach Jay Norvell will unveil his first recruiting class Wednesday inside Legacy Hall on Nevada’s campus and it will be heavy on skill-position athletes and offensive linemen.

Norvell, who got Nevada’s job a little more than seven weeks before signing day, had 22 scholarships to extend in his 2017 class and 10 are going to wide receivers or defensive backs. The class is headlined by Alabama transfer David Cornwell, who was one of the top prospects in the nation entering college.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Cornwell has two seasons of eligibility at Nevada starting in 2017.
