Grant Booth's up-and-down first round at the NCAA Regional included five bogeys, one birdie, a hole out from 140 yards out for eagle, a double bogey and ultimately put him in a tough position as he attempts to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
The Wolf Pack junior bogeyed the second and third hole at the Stanford Golf Course but moved back to even par after carding an eagle on the 447-yard par-4 fifth hole when he knocked it in from 140 yards out. It was his second eagle of the season. Booth birdied the par-5 seventh to move 1-under par but shot five over on the final 11 holes.
