Grades: Offense lets down defense in SJSU loss

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Grades from Nevada’s 14-10 loss to San Jose State on Saturday.

D- — First, let’s establish what kind of defense Nevada was facing. SJSU had allowed 40 points per game this season, the eighth-worst mark in the nation, and had given up at least 34 points to every team it had faced and that includes FCS opponent Portland State, which scored 35. The Wolf Pack mustered only 10 points, which are the fewest SJSU has allowed since a 47-7 victory over New Mexico State in 2012.
