Future Wolf Pack players could get picked off in MLB draft

Major League Baseball's amateur draft starts Monday and the player likely to be picked first among local kids hasn't technically played for a local team.

Owen Sharts, a right-handed pitcher from Southern California who is signed to play for Nevada next season, is projected by a number of national publications as one of the top high school players in the draft, a three-day event that ends Wednesday.
