Jay Norvell stepped in front of the Wolf Pack football team for the first time last December. As he looked at his new players, their eyes unwaveringly fixed on their new head coach, Norvell didn’t have to look at prepared notes to figure out exactly what he was going to say to the team he would now lead.
Norvell spoke about his three principles: respect, accountability and hustle. He talked about his blueprint for success, the roadmap he would develop that would make Nevada a championship program again. This was an address Norvell had thought about for decades.
