Final Mountain West rankings: Boise State ends where it began

Things ended right where they began in the RGJ’s Mountain West football rankings.

Boise State, with a division-winning 33-24 victory over a 10-2 Utah State team, moved up from second to first in the final rankings of the season. The Broncos began the season as our No. 1 pick way back in September.

It took many weeks to sort things out, but the MW’s top three teams — Boise State, Utah State and Fresno State — all separated themselves from the pack.
