LAS VEGAS – The DJ was still playing outside Thomas & Mack Center to greet fans as they walked into the arena. UNLV’s pre-game pyrotechnics were still in place as the Rebels introduced their starting lineup. The national championship and Final Four banners were still in place atop of arena.
But, this UNLV isn’t the old UNLV. Although the announced crowd for Saturday's Nevada-UNLV clash was 14,808, only about 6,000 fans came to watch the annual rivalry game, the red seats out-numbering the fans by a vast margin. Even the school’s famed “REEE-BEELLS!
