Junior Trevor Charpie tossed a complete game, leading Nevada in a 3-2 victory over San Diego State on Saturday in front of 1,145 fans at Peccole Park.
The Wolf Pack (13-12, 6-4) won its sixth consecutive game while clinching the series against the Aztecs.
Charpie allowed just seven base runners in 113 pitches while notching his first complete game at Nevada. The 6-foot-1 righty pitched seven straight scoreless innings after allowing two runs in the second frame. Charpie improves to 2-1 on the season after allowing just two runs on five hits with two walks.
Nevada scored two runs in the second inning to tie the game before plating the game-winning run in the third.
