Battle ongoing: Wolf Pack not ready to name starting quarterback

Monday signaled the beginning of Nevada's preparation for its season opener against Northwestern and marked only 12 days until the Wolf Pack plays its first game of 2017, but that doesn't mean the team has a starting quarterback just yet.

In fact, coach Jay Norvell said he is preparing for his team to play multiple quarterbacks this season.

Incoming quarterback David Cornwell, the transfer from Alabama who joined the team in the spring, and returner Ty Gangi, who started Nevada’s final four games last season, are both expected to play this season, Norvell said after the team’s final scrimmage over the weekend.
