Nevada’s TJ Friedl hit an RBI triple to break a tie in the eighth inning and the Wolf Pack baseball team completed a sweep of San Jose State with a 6-4 win Sunday at Peccole Park.
The Wolf Pack (27-20 overall, 16-8 Mountain West) has won nine straight games to match its longest streak since 2006.
Friedl went 3-of-5 with two runs and an RBI, Justin Bridgman (Damonte Ranch) went 2-of-4 with one run and one RBI, and Miles Mastrobuoni finished 2-of-3 with one run.
Sophomore right-hander Mark Nowaczewski (Reed) earned the win in relief.
Nevada got its fourth sweep of the season with three straight wins over SJSU.
