Armon Johnson, another former Wolf Pack star, joins growing Nevada staff

The Nevada basketball staff just keeps growing and, for the second time in a week, it’s a former local star who is joining head coach Eric Musselman’s staff.

Former Hug High School and Wolf Pack star Armon Johnson has joined his staff as an undergraduate assistant, the school announced Tuesday. Johnson, who left school to enter the 2010 NBA draft, is enrolled at the university with the goal of working toward a bachelor’s degree.

“We are extremely excited to get Armon back in our program as an undergraduate assistant,” Musselman said in a news release. “With his background and playing career at Nevada, he will serve a very important role in practice and will be another vehicle for our players to use as guidance.
