Wolf Pack running backs coach David White played football for UNLV, lived in Las Vegas for nearly two decades and still considers the city his home. So, when he learned Monday morning that the deadliest shooting in U.S. history took place in his adopted hometown, his heart sank as he began to think of his family and friends.
“I was like everybody else who was shocked that it even happened and I’ve been at that same place so many times for concerts,” White said. “It’s a great venue, outdoors, it’s always fun, you see the Strip in the background.
