First quarter recap
The Wolf Pack opened the game with the ball and quickly moved inside the Hawaii 10 on a James Butler 55-yard run but was unable to score after a swinging-gate fake field goal went awry and Jaxson Kincaide was stopped 4 yards behind the line of scrimmage on a pitch. Hawaii then drove to the Nevada 5-yard line but two holding calls put the Warriors behind the chains, resulting in a 27-yard field goal by Rigoberto Sanchez to give Hawaii a 3-0 lead. Both teams then went three-and-out before the Wolf Pack picked up a first down to move to its own 36 before the first quarter came to a conclusion.
