* OUR LONG LOCAL NIGHTMARE is over. Northern Nevada high schools will no longer have to go through Bishop Gorman to win a state championship. The NIAA’s realignment committee met this week and agreed to recommend a 5A classification for high school sports (an official rubber stamp comes in January).
