While competing mainly in open tournaments, the Huskers saw a number of impressive seasons from their youngsters that flew under the radar
Sporting one of the best starting lineups in the country, #3 Nebraska is actually a really young team overall. With two redshirt freshman and three sophomores in the starting lineup, the Huskers’ backups are predominantly underclassmen.
In fact, out of the 35 total wrestlers on the roster, 14 of them are true freshmen and five more are redshirt freshmen — just over 54 percent of the entire roster.
